"The NSA's Surveillance Is Unconstitutional"
"Such indiscriminate data seizures are the epitome of "unreasonable," akin to the "general warrants" issued by the Crown to authorize searches of Colonial Americans."
Yes.

Yes.
The new single is great, and the album an instant pre-order. Too bad they haven't reconciled; I'd love to see them perform live.
What a tremendous final game. Seventy-seven years was a long time to wait for it, but it was a fun match to watch.
How the world's newspapers covered the Scotsman's historic victory over Novak Djokovic
All three versions of Reeder will get major updates. Unfortunately, these won't be ready for July 1st. Sorry about that.
Ugh. My needs, in order of importance: Mac, iPad, iPhone. Seems like the reverse of the order Reeder will support 3rd party syncing services. This sucks.
"The Sun-Times let go its photography staff in favor of more multimedia and reporters with iPhones."
The comparison looks like you'd expect it would.

"To get better, we just have to give up on the idea of synching. That a special piece of software has to be written for every device you own, and that each of those apps needs to know what articles you've clicked on."
No, syncing the state of what articles I've read is the single most important feature I want. I don't care that it's Google doing it, and think that our reliance on one aggregator has indeed hurt the RSS ecosystem. But I'm not willing to give up syncing.
"But the market caps of both companies are swelled by their huge bank accounts. Strip out Apple’s $145 billion of net cash as of March, and Google’s $45 billion. This leaves an enterprise value of $233 billion for Apple, but $241 billion for Google, reflecting the underlying value of the companies’ actual operations."
In the words of an eloquent coworker of mine, "and if grandma had balls, she'd be grandpa."
Photo Notes: I've been processing some older images, and here's another; this one's from 2010. Shot on a D700 with a manual focus Zeiss 35mm (hence the lack of accurate EXIF info regarding the exposure). Processed in Lightroom 5 and Nik Silver Efex Pro 2.
We set up an impromptu portrait session in our backyard, and had a fun time shooting. Ainsley was being a little silly, so most of the shots weren't worth sharing, but I liked this one.
Photo Notes: I continue to be impressed by the Nikon D800, and landscape is clearly its forte. I processed this in Lightroom 5 and Color Efex Pro, and it seemed like this shot just had more and more microcontrast to reveal. Perhaps I went too far; it almost looks a little HDR-y. Still, it felt like the well-lit scene was super contrasty when I was there, far contrastier than the RAW file.
Just got around to playing with some images I took earlier this year in Virgin, UT.
Photo notes: Processed in Lightroom 5 with Photomatix Pro. Taken with Nikon D800, Nikkor 24-70 f/2.8 at 24mm.
Wired has a list of things to consume "Instead of Man of Steel". I still plan to go see Man of Steel tonight, so I can't speak to whether their suggestion that the omission of that movie is sound, but I think the advice is otherwise good.
Just last night, I completed watching all of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited with my daughter, and am impressed at how well this series holds up. It manages to take even B-list characters and tell great stories around them.
While you're at it, watch all of the DC Universe animated movies; they're almost universally excellent, and better than most "real" superhero movies.
Watch then-Senator Joe Biden from 2006 directly refute each point made by his now-boss, President Barack Obama, about the NSA surveillance program at a news conference last week.
