RAMmageddon continues to rock the industry: The price increases that Tim Cook warned were coming landed today, across almost all Apple products. And boy, they’re not small increases, especially for higher-end configurations. The MacBook Pro I bought earlier this year (64 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD) at $4300 is now $5100, an $800 increase. And I bought my daughter a new iPad Air just a week and a half ago, and its price just went up by $150.
Thinking of that upgrade, I never did sell my previous laptop, a maxxed out M4 MacBook Air with 32 GB RAM and a 2 TB SSD. It might be worth as much—or more!—now as when I bought it a year ago!
Apple Just Increased Prices on MacBooks, iPads, and More
Apple today dramatically increased device prices across multiple product lines. After temporarily taking it down earlier today, Apple’s online store is back up with a series of product price increases.
