As someone who is often out in areas where ticks are common, this is great to hear. California, where I live and ride MTB most often, isn’t a Lyme hotspot, but I’ve still had my share of tick discoveries post-ride, and this would definitely be welcome when that happens.
This interesting episode of The Circuit is better summarized by its description than the title. Even then, I thought the most interesting parts were about the state of science, research, and the breakthroughs we should expect from CRISPR.
This episode of The Daily from The New York Times is an incredible piece of reporting on a terrible outbreak of a rare form of Ebola in Africa. As far from perfect as the NYT has been on our local politics, this is the kind of essential work that makes me happy to continue to subscribe.
