Pfizer and Valneva said Monday their Lyme disease vaccine showed more than 70% efficacy in a late-stage study, even as it missed its main goal.
I hope this gets approval. Every season, I find ticks on me after mountain biking. After the first time, you learn to do a full body check after the ride. I wouldn’t stop that check, but a vaccine sure would be a nice second layer of defense, and some peace of mind. It’s crazy that we had a vaccine for Lyme so long ago, but have just let people suffer the disease instead.
