"The iPad is still an iPad, even with a Magic Keyboard"
This is a good, albeit more critical than average, review of the new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro, from Dieter Bohn at The Verge.
I don't have mine yet---I wasn't paying attention to my RSS reader the day they started taking orders, so I got in too late to get one of the early ones---but I think it sounds great. A bit from the video review says, "I love this keyboard case 'cause it helps me not use a keyboard case", referring to how nice it is to detach the iPad and walk away. I really like the sound of this, because I've typically used two cases: the Smart Keyboard cover at work (well, at least when I was actually going to an office to work) for use taking notes in meetings all day, and the Smart Cover, which is just a thin cover for the iPad itself, the rest of the time. But there's nothing more satisfying IMO than the naked iPad Pro 11", and I've been using it a lot more like that in recent weeks. The combo of a first-rate keyboard case for when that's appropriate and the easy-to-detach naked robotic core the rest of the time seems like taking my previous strategy to the next level, and I'm looking forward to it.
