I love that, in an article titled "With PlayStation 4, Sony Aims for Return to Glory", the New York Times waits until the the fifth paragraph to mention, somewhat drolly:

"The console itself was never shown during the two-hour presentation. No release date was given, although before the Christmas holidays is a good possibility. No price was mentioned."

Sony held a gathering in New York City to introduce its new PlayStation, but it did not unveil the console and did not say when it would go on sale.
