7/16/26 Letting agents control your computer introduces a number of security concerns, but potential access to secrets like passwords is high on the list. I’m glad to see 1password taking a shot at addressing this.
7/16/26 Check out the awesome 3D models being created for a Blake’s 7 prequel/fan film, called Liberator Aftershock. The care that’s gone in to making not only a really impressive version of the exterior of the ship, there are really nice interiors, including some that weren’t in the show often.
7/16/26 This interesting episode of The Circuit is better summarized by its description than the title. Even then, I thought the most interesting parts were about the state of science, research, and the breakthroughs we should expect from CRISPR.
7/12/26 I’m not a huge ice cream consumer, but I found myself watching this video on YouTube where professional chefs try a frankly crazy number of vanilla ice cream varieties. One of the winners, McConnell’s Vanilla Bean, is worth the price, and I recommend it.
7/10/26 Quite the opposite of the Netflix story lately, Apple TV is hitting its stride. This narrative seems as strong as the negative one regarding Netflix, and I’ve been seeing it more and more. (I did start Widow’s Bay, now halfway through. It started pretty slowly, but it’s cooking with gas.)
7/10/26 I found myself reading this article nodding my head, and ended with a resounding “duh!” I mean, they’ve basically admitted to enshittifying the platform with ads, games, etc., while deliberately investing less in the shows themselves.
7/3/26 I agree with Casey here. I cancelled my reservation and bought something else, despite being very interested in the R2, and the stubborn insistence to not offer CarPlay was a primary reason.
7/3/26 Gah, I hate when apps allow previews to automatically play by default, and the feeling that you can’t let your selection rest on anything for more than a moment. Of course there should be a standard for stopping that madness. And don’t get me started about Netflix….
