Gruber has a harsh—I think _too_ harsh—take on 1password. I’m here to say that I remain a happy 1password user.

Look, I get this take. Let’s just not forget that disconnecting isn’t possible for everyone all the time, and maybe hold back a bit on the judgment over how much your fellow traveler spent on his rig or how much he’s using Starlink.

Over the past few days, I’ve been experimenting with a new-to-me workflow: using [git worktrees](https://git-scm.com/docs/git-worktree) to let AI agents try multiple parallel implementations of the same feature. It’s been interesting enough to share.

Molly White has a good article about RSS at _Citation Needed_. I’ve never stopped using RSS, and am happy to see it having a bit of a renaissance.

The list of the individual AppleCare prices helped me decide if it was a good deal for me.

Between unhappiness at the continued inflexibility of iPadOS hindering the glorious hardware of the M4 iPad Pro and the release of the new M4 MacBook Air, I’ve been considering consolidating my personal mobile computing to the new Mac. But one missing thing stopped me cold.

The streaming service called Tubi is one of the official ways to stream the Super Bowl this year, and I noticed they have a native app for the Vision Pro. I’m sure it’s not using any of the Vision Pro’s real promise for sporting events, but I’ll try it out anyway.

Anyone reading this should [turn on Advanced Data Protection](https://support.apple.com/en-us/108756), which encrypts iCloud backups, which aren’t encrypted by default. (Make doubly sure that you have your Recovery Key protected if you do). Once you do, even Apple can’t decrypt your backups, even if asked by a government.

“Support for links is the basic requirement of the web[…]. If you don’t support links not only aren’t you the web, you’re anti-web.” I can’t think of a more basic requirement for the Web, let alone the “social web”. I’d add that it has to be two-way linking, as well.
