Hm. True enough, I suppose. In fact, it’s also true that I never use Google Reader as anything but the back-end syncing source for my various RSS readers, mostly Reeder. Hopefully Marco’s right about the ultimate good that will come of this.

We are pleased to announce the release of Ruby 2.0.0-p0.
The video is pretty Apple-like in its presentation, although it would have been nice to see the device actually do something. At its price, the Pixel is competing with full-featured small laptops like the MacBook Air, where it really seems best suited for people who want something like an iPad, but with a keyboard.
Still, it looks nice, and the screen sounds great. We’ll have to see how well it works and how long it takes for the price to come down.

I love that, in an article titled “With PlayStation 4, Sony Aims for Return to Glory”, the New York Times waits until the the fifth paragraph to mention, somewhat drolly:
“The console itself was never shown during the two-hour presentation. No release date was given, although before the Christmas holidays is a good possibility. No price was mentioned.”
Sony held a gathering in New York City to introduce its new PlayStation, but it did not unveil the console and did not say when it would go on sale.

Check out the Bowlus Road Chief! Obviously, there’ll be serious overlap in markets with Airstream, although it appears that this is going after the market of people who want classic aluminum styling, but want a smaller, lighter unit. At $100 K each, it’s pricey, even compared to a lot of Airstreams, but it’s pretty damn cool.
