10/27/25 Ads like these are product cancer. Apple made its success by offering the best experience for people who paid the premium for its offerings. This is a terrible direction.
10/23/25 This thing looks really good. But, just as I feared, this video has them riding on trails where Class 3 e-bikes are illegal. We have a hard enough time trying to get trail access for Class 1 e-bikes, and people doing 28 MPH on these things is going to get all e-bikes banned from trails.
10/23/25 Chris Niccolls from PetaPixel has a kinder take on the new Leica M EV1than the one I linked to earlier. It looks like a pretty good take on an EV-based M camera, which is something I’ve always thought desirable. I love that handling is very M-like, according to Niccolls.
10/23/25 Holy cow! This story has everything: Hacked cameras in the shufflers! Enter your cards and seat or just the flop and know all the cards at the table! La Casa Nostra!
10/23/25 A Soderbergh Star Wars film, and they said “no”?! All because they couldn’t figure out how Kylo Ren could have survived, after all the Palpatine nonsense that they let through? Crazy!
10/23/25 Too bad. I probably wouldn’t do it for this one anyway, but the ease of Apple’s trade-in (vs. selling it myself) might have been a factor in my decision to upgrade at a later time.
10/23/25 I love that they’re doing something like this, although this seems (at first glance) to be a bit clumsy as a first effort. Having the front lever control focus peaking sounds like a great use for that control.
10/22/25 This is one of the things I wondered about as I was posting earlier: the weight of the bike. At the better part of 100 pounds, no one can reasonably expect to ride anywhere they’d have to carry it, especially up stairs.
10/22/25 Wow, there are some really neat ideas here. I love the idea of micro-mobility devices like these! I am a bit concerned about the marketing photos that suggest this Class 3 e-bike is suitable for trails, when most trails do not allow above Class 1.
